Stop by the studio while you are out wine tasting during Memorial Day weekend in the Willamette Valley! Look for our NxNWet Studio signs along Oregon Highway 47, south of Gaston and north of Yamhill. Visit the Willamette Valley Wine website and look for a map of wineries open. We are located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA near some wonderful wineries. Our neighbors include Adea, Atticus, Big Table Wine, Elk Cove, Kramer Vineyards, Lenne, Tendril Wine Cellars and WillaKenzie. We are located along the Sip 47 route. We will be here working and sipping a little wine, too! (Click here.)
Dahe Good has been selected to participate in this year’s Yamhill County Art Harvest Studio Tour. This is a two week long, juried art show featuring about 40 artists. Dahe will be presenting new works in photography and oils. Sponsored by the Arts Alliance of Yamhill County, this is the 21st year of this annual, self-guided tour of artists’ studios. Tour dates are October 4, 5, 6, & 11, 12, 13, 2013. The tours run from 10 am to 6 pm for two consecutive weekends. Visit Art Harvest Studio Tour for more info, and to obtain tour posters, map and guide. (Click here.)
Last weekend marked the official opening of NxNWet Artists Studio. The weather was lovely and our recently renovated studio shined in a new light. Many guests traveled from Portland and Vancouver, as well as from local towns Forest Grove, Carlton, Yamhill and McMinnville. We want to thank the many sponsors and contributors to our event, including Carlton Cellars which provided samples of their award winning Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris wines. Also, our taste buds were delighted by jam-enhanced food created by Republic of Jam, including fruity spicy meatballs, baked brie with cherry-black pepper jam and an amazing chili-enhanced chocolate tart. The NxNWet logo reflects our love of beautiful graphics. And a little about our name – it was conceived like many creations are, whilst sitting around enjoying glasses of wine. It’s a mash-up of sorts, paying homage to our love for great film and the rainy Pacific Northwest we call home. So here is our logo, which uses the font “Copasetic”, and that’s just how life is right now! (Click here.) Sign design by graphic artist Ellen Brouse.
After floating around a very long time in a dream state, this incredible studio has just about taken form and shape. We are a collaborative of artists, writers and dreamers. Our home is the Willamette Valley wine country south and west of Portland and east of the Oregon Coast Range. Please stay tuned for a presentation of our work, and an invitation to visit.
